Coronavirus update 18th March
Dear parents and carers,
You would have heard the announcement from Boris Johnson tonight. Schools in England will close from end of day Friday until further notice.
We are working on the home learning section of our weduc app to ensure there will be home learning available while schools are closed.
Boris Johnson has said, key worker children including; NHS workers, police, social workers and delivery drivers will continue to attend school. This also includes our vulnerable children that have EHC plans and those who are working with Social Care.
The Local Authority and Director of Children's Services have asked the Headteachers of all Greenwich schools to submit a list of pupils of key workers so the Local Authority can allocate school places for these children. It is important that we identify these key pupils as soon as possible. Parents and carers that fall into the categories mentioned please inform the school by 9am Thursday 19th March by email to firstname.lastname@example.org The more information about your individual work situation we have, the better.
There may be more guidance and clarity around what constitutes a key worker but it is imperative that we identify key worker children as soon as possible.
At this point in time there is no suggestion of which schools will be open for key worker children. That is why this information is vitally important and needs to be accurate.
We will continue to update you as we receive information. Thank you once again for your support and patience during these uncertain times.
