Wyborne is in receipt of the Government Coronavirus (COVID – 19) catch-up premium – a financial grant awarded to all schools to target support for children who have gaps in their learning due to school closures.

As a result of baseline assessments conducted in the first half of this term, it is our intention to target some of our youngest children in the acquisition of phonics. We will also target children in Key Stage 2, through intervention, identified through assessment procedures.

The grant will allow us to employ an additional teacher to support this intention.

The impact on educational attainment measured from the baseline assessments will indicate an increasing number of children back on track to reach expected standards.
