Our Sensory Garden
The creation of Wyborne’s sensory garden has enabled us to provide an exciting and stimulating space for pupils with autism and other special educational needs. At Wyborne, we understand that learning doesn’t just have to happen in the classroom. In fact, for many pupils with learning difficulties, a sensory garden can enable children to thrive.
Our sensory garden is particularly beneficial to the children here who have sensory processing issues, such as autism and other disabilities. Our sensory garden has shown that it successfully helps children with anxiety, attention disorders such as ADHD as well as opening up a new exciting world for children with visual impairments. Our delightful sensory garden is a tranquil space that is accessible to all children regardless of their needs and is a garden that is thoroughly enjoyed by all.
